Dear Char, Stevie and Family,
I was so sad to hear about "Great" Aunt Harriet. GREAT she was. I am sending you my thoughts, prayers and love to the entire family. I found this saying that I absolutely love and it really resonates with how I feel. I hope you like it.
A ship, at my side,
spreads her white sails to the moving breeze and starts
for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength.
I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck
of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.

Then, someone at my side says, "There, she is gone."

Gone where?

Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast,
hull and spar as she was when she left my side.
And, she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.
Her diminished size is in me -- not in her.

And, just at the moment when someone says, "There, she is gone,"
there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices
ready to take up the glad shout, "Here she comes!"

And that is dying...

Steve, Barb, Char and family,
Very sorry to hear of your Mom passing. Will always remember her big smile and jolly laugh. Many memories from the Jensen home from riding the old Polaris in town to almost burning down their smokehouse on the farm which by the way started my love for making deer sausage. She was a great person. Thinking of you all. Leon

Another member of the Mont-Cow Creek community is gone on to pave the way for the rest of us. Will miss the kind and friendly smile. She always had a good word to say about her children.
I think when you are known by first name that is a sign of respect.

So sorry to hear of Harriet's passing. She was such a sweet, caring, beautiful lady. We will miss her personality and wit. We will miss her talent with the accordion. And her friendly face at the meatball dinner. We have some great memories with Harriet. From her jokes, her laughter, her caring thoughts, and her songs on the accordion. Especially "granny's in the cellar"-a classic to never be forgotten :') May Harriet RIP.

My heart breaks in the loss of my favorite auntie. Things just won't be the same without her. I am so glad I got to talk to her about 2 weeks ago. Her and my Dad and Mark and Arvid and Herbert are playing cards and having a good time now. Still remember the time we took her to see George Jones and the look she had on her face. My thoughts and prayers to you Steven and Charlene and family. Big Hugs and Prayets to you. Auntie Harriet will be missed so much!! Loved her with all of my heart. ????????
