I enjoyed the times when I would see Steve on my visits back in Williston. I remember bowling with Steve and losing some pool games to him. He was good at both. Steve was a great guy and I'm sad to see him go to heaven so soon. I'm sad for Marveen and his children and grandchildren, that will all miss spending time with him while laughing and sharing love. My condolences to the whole family. Cherish your great memories and forget the unpleasant. Feel peace and love in your hearts.

To Marvene, Marcus, Amber and family:
As I've been reading the many comments, thoughts, and prayers over Steve's passing, I'm realize I'm only one of many who knew and loved Steve, although living in WA made it difficult to spend more time with him and the rest of my cousins in ND. But I'm so blessed to have been able to have deep conversations about Jesus, the power of forgiveness, and how Christ is the Good Shepherd who "leaves the ninety-nine sheep to go after the one who has strayed" (Matt. 18:12) - and both Steve and I were those sheep until Jesus "found" us. I'm grateful that Steve knew that the truth that he sought in God's word was the only source of freedom, as it is for each one of us. I continue to pray for you as you mourn this loss, and that you will find a new level of God's comfort through His Spirit at this difficult time. I'm blessed to have had Steve as my cousin, and because of the unfathomable love of God through Jesus, I believe that I will share eternity in paradise with him. See you all again sometime soon! Love, Kasey

December 20, 2017 | Buffalo, MN

Dear Larvick Family,
I worked with Steve in the late 1970's at WISCO into the early 80's as he called it "back in the day." Steve always called me "Big Lou", I admired Steve's ambition, drive and hard work.

More recently in 2008 we met in Minneapolis MN (where my family & I call home) when Steve and Amber were in town sky diving.

Since then, Steve and I had many discussions on the subject of God, Faith & placing our trust in Jesus Christ as our Lord & saviour were spoken between Steve & I, as well as numerous scripture versus and what they meant.

I know Steve placed his trust in Jesus Christ and listened to the word of God in his vehicle as he drove.

As difficult as this time is for us all that knew and loved Steve, Faith assures us we have hope!
Hebrews 11:1
"Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.”

Heaven is real and the promises of God are true. If we place our faith & trust in Jesus Christ we will spend eternity with Him.

My prayers are with you all.
