Bob Bob! You are missed SO much already! Wishing I could have seen you one more time but I just know you're calling me a lazy bum from way up there :) See you again someday, my friend! xoxo

I have such fond memories of Bobby. The summers we spent at grandpa/grandma’s with all of us, the White’s, the Shellum’s, the Brothers’ and our closest remote area friends, the Peppenger’s and the Breen’s.

Playing Parcheesi on grandpa’s homemade board, realizing the progress we all made as we learned to count – but Bobby never could count.

Learning to ride bikes - when we all have training wheels and ours came off, but Bobby’s never did.

Playing Flap Jack and Bobby used to just randomly slap at cards. It was fun watching his pure enjoyment. Today I practice at being in the moment of enjoyment.

I remember my mother telling me how excited Bobby was to have his own lunch pail and to be going to his JOB!

I remember Bobby always sat in the same chair at the kitchen table – and how we all respected that.

Although years would pass between my visits, he always remembered me and called me by my name.

Kathy once told me how he loved to open gifts at Christmas. So she would wrap up some of his things along with new things so he would have lots of gifts to open as each one brought him so much joy. I strive to be present to appreciate each moment, but yet Bobby knew how to do it.

I celebrate my uncle Bobby’s life! I’m blessed to have known him and thankful that he is finally HOME, in heaven with his family, whole, perfect and in the image of God.

Bob is already missed by so many at the Good Shepherd Home. We miss not seeing him sitting in his spot in the Activity Room, or seeing him chase the housekeepers down the hall, or having him knocking on the beauty shop door just to tell Brenda to go home for 3 days, or even his daily “flu shots” he would give us all that left our arms sore and black and blue. Bob was such a character who could always put a smile on our faces because he was more than just a resident he was part of our family and our dear friend. I sure hope he knows how much we loved him. So glad he is finally at peace! May God comfort his entire family during this sad and difficult time.
