Anna Marie Luft, 95, of Culbertson, Montana, passed away Monday morning, June 5, 2017 at the Roosevelt Medical Center in Culbertson.
Anna Marie Damm was born in rural Froid Montana to Conrad and Anna Marie (Kauffman) Damm on October 12, 1921. She was raised on her family’s farm and attended the Damm #5 rural school.
On May 15, 1939 she was united in marriage to John W. Luft in Wolf Point, Montana.
Anna was a proud housewife, mother and farmer. She helped Willie on the family farm until their retirement in 1984 and they moved to Culbertson. Anna was active in the Trinity Lutheran Church Ladies Aide, the VFW Auxiliary and she was also a PTA member.
Surviving Anna are her sons, Clarence (Barb) of Froid, MT, Raymond (Teresa) of Columbia Falls, MT, Willard of Midland, TX, Gordon (Anne) of Hardin, MT and Rodney (Alice) of Froid, MT; ten grandchildren, Carl, Cathy, Deborah, Steven, Rhonda, Stacy, Marsha, Ashley, Marissa and Tim; four step-grandchildren, Kevin, Michael, Patrick and Joseph; nine great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Bryan, Nicolle, Crysta, Tayler, Braden, Autumn, Dalton and Lilly; step-great-granddaughter, Kate; and two great-great-grandchildren, Nicolaas and Mila.
Preceding Anna in death were her husband, John William Luft; daughter-in-law, Yvonne (Nelson) Luft and her infant son, John Carl Luft; parents, Conrad and Anna Damm; brothers, Jack, Alex E., John, Constine, Martin and George; and sisters, Molly, Mollie, Lydia, Katie, and Marie.
