Place of Birth : Culbertson, Montana
Residence : Williston, North Dakota
Age : 65

Robert W. (Bob) Peterson, 65, of rural Williston, passed away at his home north of Williston early Saturday morning, June 10, 2017.

Bob was born March 12, 1952 during a winter storm in Culbertson, Montana. He married his honey, Dorothy Moline, July 11, 1970. Bob and Dorothy are the epitome of true love; holding a strong marriage through the trials and the joys of life. In his last days he needed his honey by his side.

As a boy, Bob worked on farms and built grain bins. In his adult life, he laid concrete, worked at Midwest Motor Express, laid, delivered, and sold carpet at Conlins Furniture, and was a crane operator for Borsheim, Westcon, and most recently, Black Hills Trucking. He was a hard-working man who valued the satisfaction of a job-well-done.

Bob enjoyed all the outdoors had to offer, including hunting and fishing. He spent many hours enjoying God’s nature. He loved his family dearly, often commenting that his girls were the treasures of his life and the boys were his soul. His many grandchildren filled his heart. Family holidays and gatherings were always bustling with excitement. His cooking, specifically fish chowder, was a special treat that left everyone asking for just one more bowl. He also loved playing guitar and creating music; his love of music was passed down to Jake and Luke. The boys passed this tradition down to the grandchildren, where music created some of the best family memories of singing and playing the guitar.

Surviving Bob are his wife, Dorothy; children, Jodie (Cory) Hanson, Cassie (Galen) Roness, Jake (Laura) Peterson, and Luke (Christina) Peterson; grandchildren, Anne Marie, Sloan, and Sawyer Hanson; Dylan, Sydney, and Hudson Roness; Aeris, Aeriel, Aeriana, Elias, and Aeriwynn Peterson; and Emma, Sam, and Ivor Peterson. He is also survived by his siblings, Tami Belgarde, Mike Peterson, Patty (Harold) Mischke, Leah Peterson (Glenn Getzlaff), Lana (Dan) Davis, and his aunt, Janet Olson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Robert E. and Ruby Peterson; brothers, Kenny Peterson and Roger Peterson; uncles, Morris and Harvey Olson, and his aunt, Barbara Partridge.
