Linda “Lyn” Hastings was born to Robert and Sylvia Logan. She was the eldest of three children. Lyn spent her childhood in Williston. Some of her favorite activities included fishing with her dad and collecting and caring for strays and local wildlife. Later, she would become known as the “owl lady” because of her love for owls and her very large and varied collection from all over the world.
As a young mother Lyn’s home was embraced by the neighborhood children, family and friends alike as a home away from home where there was much laughter and shenanigans.
In 1980 Lyn met and they married the love of her life Perry Hastings.
They blended their family and lived, loved and adventured together for twenty six years.
They spent many years in Williston, they ventured to many states, settling in Elko, Nevada.
