Clarence E. “Sonny” Raveling, 77, of Williston, North Dakota, passed away Sunday evening, July 9, 2017 at Trinity Hospital in Minot, North Dakota surrounded by his family.
Clarence “Sonny” Edward Raveling was born on October 8, 1939 to Clarence and Doris (Mott) Raveling in Williston, North Dakota. He was raised and educated in the Wildrose and McGregor areas. In his younger years he worked on the family farm, rode bronc and loved horses.
On May 19, 1998 he was united in marriage to Betty Laducer. Clarence worked at the Sales Barn and Pete’s Truck and Salvage. His last thirteen years were spent working at Sabin Metal where he made many good friends. One of his hobbies was collecting eagles.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Betty; sons, Shane (Nicole) Raveling of Williston, ND, Mike (Julie) Raveling of Williston, ND, Chris (Trisha) Laducer of Williston, ND; daughter Sheila (Todd) Dschaak of Glendive, MT, and step-daughter, Beverly Griggs of Williston; many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; his sisters Mary Joyce Goebel of Epping, ND, Clarice Schmidt, Billings, MT, and Barbara Moss of Bottineau, ND.
Preceding Clarence in death were his parents, Clarence and Doris; grandson, Colton Raveling; his brothers, Gerald Raveling, Duane Raveling, Henry Raveling, and Donald Raveling; sisters, Marlene Breen, and Opal Devold.
