Cheri Ann Vondall
November 29, 1960 - August 2, 2017

Place of Birth : Hoopa, California
Residence : Trenton, North Dakota
Age : 56

Cheri Vondall, 56, of Trenton, North Dakota, passed away Wednesday morning, August 2, 2017 at her home in Trenton.

Cheri Vondall (Lindgren) was born on November 29, 1960, to Donald (Dick) and Florence Lindgren (Marcellais) in Hoopa, CA. From Hoopa, the family moved to Montana for 8 years, before moving to New Town, ND where Cheri attended elementary and High School.

Cheri was married to Brad Ceynar from 1980-1988 and to this union, two beautiful children were born, Marie and Richard. In 1989 Cheri and the love of her life, Marlyn Vondall Jr, moved to Trenton, ND where they still resided to this day. Cheri and Marlyn (Jim) were married on January 26, 1990. To this union, 3 amazing children were born. Marlyn III (Little Man), Charalyn and Hunter.

After moving to Trenton, Cheri worked various places including managing the Trenton Lake Recreational area for several years. In 2003 Cheri started driving bus for Trenton Schools. She drove to several games and daily routes. Cheri loved driving bus and she drove up until the day it was no longer possible.

Serveral years ago, Cheri and Marlyn discovered the sport of fishing. At first, she didn’t like it, but after she caught a few, she was HOOKED! Cheri and Marlyn have spent countless summers and weekends off in Van Hook, doing what they loved. Fishing and being together. Cheri enjoyed spending as much time as she could on their boat on Lake Sakakawea and fishing in tournaments (all the while making sure a storm wasn’t coming).

Cheri was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. As the oldest of her siblings, it was in her nature to worry. And worry for EVERYONE. Later when she had her own children, she never stopped worrying, even as they turned to adults. It was often said, she worried enough for the rest of us. There was nothing Cheri wouldn’t do for her family. Her love for her husband, children and grandbabies was unconditional and could be seen by all. Cheri was strong in her faith and prayed daily.

Cheri is survived by her husband Marlyn of Trenton. Her children and grandchildren: Marie (Sam), Alivia, Seryn and Ethan of Trenton. Richard (Lindsey), Brody and Christian of Williston. Chara and Axtyn of Williston. Marlyn III (Chelsey) and Ashlyn of Bismarck. Hunter, Meya, Steley and Norman of Williston. Her sisters and brothers: Teri (James) Kihle of Williston, Kari (Craig) McGrady of Fargo, Serena (Jerry) Vondall of Trenton, Samantha Lindgren of Mandan, Jennifer (Luke) Yeahquo of Oklahoma and Shane (Jamie) Johnson of Mandaree. Her mothers and father in law: Ginger Anderson of Williston and Marlyn and Myrna Vondall of Trenton. Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceding Cheri in death were her parents Donald and Florence Lindgren, grandson Alexander Hvinden, brother Richard (Pecos) Lindgren, niece Alisha Vondall, nephew Arthur Vondall and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
