Her Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at First Lutheran Church in Williston. Rev. Martin Mock will officiate.


Friends may call at Everson-Coughlin funeral home on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until 7:00 PM and for the hour preceding the service at the church on Thursday


Interment in Hillside Memory Gardens will follow the funeral service.

Pat Ferrell, 65, of Williston, passed away at her sons home, surrounded by her family and under the care of hospice on Saturday morning, September 9, 2017.

Patricia Jo Abell was born in Williston, North Dakota on December 1, 1951 to Elmer and Eloise (Duffy) Abell. She grew up in the Trenton/Buford area and graduated from Trenton High School in 1969.

On April 21, 1971 she was united in marriage to Donald (Donnie) Ferrell. They made their home in Tioga until moving to Williston in 1986. After all of her children graduated, she decided to go back to college, in 1995, she received her Associates of General Business degree; this was one of her proudest accomplishments. After Donnie’s passing in 1996, Pat worked for Walt’s Market and Sinclair until she retired in 2013. She then moved to Arizona where she enjoyed the Arizona life. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving Pat are her children, Lana (Bill) Ferrell, Tracy (Randy) Shellum, Ryan (Charlotte) Ferrell and Robin (Wes) Peterson; brother, Tom (Laurie) Abell; sister, Yvonne Hurley; grandchildren, Sam (Matt) Conrad, Lenae Ferrell, Josh Erickson, Tyler and Donnie Shellum, Brenna and Tate Ferrell and Jasmine Skorick; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh and Bella Conrad, Brynlee Erickson and Greyson Shellum; numerous nieces and nephews; all of Donnie’s family and good friends Dave and Jo Ferrell, Duane and Anna Hagen and Susie Abell.

Preceding Pat in death were her husband, Donnie; parents, Elmer and Eloise and one grandson, Nathan Erickson.
