Phillip Sylvester Vondell was born on December 20, 1938 in Belcourt, ND to Frank and Georgiana (Houle) Vondall. He attended school in Wahpeton, ND and Steffan, SD. Phillip also lived in Bemidji and La Porte, Minnesota before moving to Williston to be with his family.
Always happy, Phillip always had a smile on his face. He liked watching the Minnesota Twins and Vikings along with any westerns, old and new that happened to be on TV. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and going for rides to check out the countryside. Coming from a large musically gifted family, one of his greatest enjoyments was listening to his family’s music. He was also very proud of his Native American heritage.
Surviving Phillip are his sister, Maryrose Moorhouse of Williston; many many nieces and nephews, too numerous to count and sister-in-law, Kathleen Vondall.
Preceding Phillip are his parents, Frank and Georgianna Vondall; sisters, Vicky Ellingson, Rosina Falcon, Katherine Grady, Madeline White Owl and Veronica Grandbois; brothers, Felix Vondall, Johnny Vondall, Bunny Vondall, Butch Vondall, Eddy Vondall, Ernie Vondall and Alfred Vondall.
