Carolyn J. “Joyce” Jacques, 77, recently of Williston, ND, formerly of Casper, WY, passed away on October 13, 2017, peacefully at her home, surrounded by loved ones.
Joyce was born in Red Oak, Iowa on January 27, 1940 to Dorothy E. Kinnison (Orr) and Charles Orr. She graduated from Johnson County High School, Buffalo, WY in May 1958.
Joyce was married to Edwin F. DeLap on February 21, 1959, of this union two daughters were born. They were married 15 years prior to Edwin’s death in 1974.
Joyce later married Paul Jacques, they divorced in 1997.
Joyce worked as a telephone operator for Mountain Bell, later went on to obtain a nursing degree at Casper College in 1971. She worked at Memorial Hospital (WMC), and was an OB nurse for Dr. Kunkel, an office nurse for Dr. Tichenor, and other doctors’ offices in Casper.
Joyce’s favorite time of year was Christmas. She loved to decorate her house with all of her villages and vast collection of Santa Clauses for the great-grandchildren to enjoy. She was the matriarch of the family and was always there for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to offer advice or help in any way she could.
Joyce is survived by her four siblings, Charles “Danny” Orr, Gwen (Walt) Leach, Stephen “Butch” (Gail) Orr, and Deanne Holzer. She leaves behind her two daughters, Jolene (Jim) Smith, and Ann Condelario, 7 grandchildren, Justin (Beth) Smith, Jamie (Mark) Soldat, Jenna Morrison, Chelsey Condelario (Nathan Shears), Courtney (Steven) Shumaker, Chynna (Brent) Campbell, and McKenzie Miller, as well as her 12 beloved great grandchildren, Taylor, Elyse, Keegan, Kayleigh, Ashlynn, Landen, Jayden, Brianna, Jaxton, Wesson, Lucas, and Greyson.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Edwin DeLap; grandson, Dallas Condelario, and great-grandson, Gabriel Condelario.
