Annice B. Vig, 88 of Williston, passed away Thursday morning, January 25, 2018 at CHI St. Alexius Hospital in Williston.
Annice Beverly (Knutson) Vig was born to Oli and Borghild Knutson on October 11, 1929 in Epping, North Dakota. She was raised and educated in Epping and attended school through the twelve grade.
On February 24, 1966 she was united in marriage to Phalen Vig in Watford City, North Dakota. Annice worked as a CNA in Ft. Morgan in Colorado, and at the Old Good Sam Hospital in Williston, ND. She also worked at Mercy Hospital in Williston.
Annice was a member of the “Women of the Moose” for 44 plus years. She was also a member of the Academy of Friendship. She was a true Norwegian and loved Lutefisk! Annice enjoyed attending the First Lutheran Church Lutefisk Dinner each year. Making Lutefisk for Christmas dinner was always a tradition at her home. Annice enjoyed going out for coffee at McDonalds and Dakota Farms. Annice will be missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Jerome Vig of Williston, ND; and step children, Shelley (Bruce) Stockman of Williston, Bruce (Penny) Vig, of Williston, Barry (Pam) Vig, of Northfield, MN, Randy Vig, of Williston, ND; grandchildren, Jacob, Derek, and Sable Stockman, Jamie (Nicole) Oster, Alyson (Scott) Dickson, Todd (Sheyenne) Rodestvedt, Paul (Jessica) Vig, Megan (Mandoly,) Barymore, Kevin Vig, Krystal (Chris) Walther, Cody, Gene, Jamie, Jordan, and Chase Vig; great grandchildren, Cameron, Ayden, Kinley and Michael Oster, Mirissa and Dillin Dickson, Shawn and Hazel Rondestvedt, Madison and Lilly Walther, Charlie and Henry Vig, Ellyson Barrymore, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Annice was preceded in death by her parents Oli and Borghild Knutson; her husband, Phalen Vig; sister, Opal Bingeman; brothers, Orlin Knutson, and Vernon Knutson; numerous brother in laws, and sister in laws.
