Kenneth Leroy Anderson, age 90, died Sunday, October 28, 2018 in Bethel Lutheran Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Williston, ND.

Kenneth was born June 14, 1928 in Williston, ND to Victor and Gelia Solberg Anderson. He was raised in the Zahl area, attended local country schools, and graduated from Zahl High School in 1946.

Ken was united in marriage to Gida Marie Henning on September 2, 1966. He cherished her, and they raised four children. Kenneth had a zest for life and a love for people. He enjoyed visiting with friends, never knew a stranger, and showed kindness to all. He trusted in the Lord and served his church in many ways. He enjoyed singing, a good basketball game, and was a lifelong Elks member. Kenneth was a farmer in Zahl for most of his life. In 1996, Ken and Gida moved to Williston where he enjoyed his weekly coffee club as well as the conveniences of living in town. In 2015, he and Gida moved to Bethel Lutheran Home where he constantly proclaimed how “good he had it.”

He is survived by his wife, Gida; their children John Charles (Allyson) McKay, Victorville, CA; Debra Jean Register, Minot, ND; Kathryn Lynn (Don) Petron, Liberty Township, OH; and Leslie Kay (Bryan) Stastny, East Grand Forks, MN; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; his sister Ruth (Willis) Gunlikson, Williston, ND; and his brother Jack (Melanie) Anderson, Rosemount, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Gelia Anderson, and one grandson, Grayson Stastny.
