Jennifer Anderson, 61, of Williston, passed away at her home on Thursday afternoon, May 9, 2019, with her family at her side, under the care of hospice.

Jennifer Carpenter Anderson was born May 12th, 1957 to Joe and Sally (O’Toole) Carpenter in Plentywood, MT. She was raised, alongside her brother Paul, in the loving arms of her parents; Godparents Loren and Joanne O’Toole; and their seven children, Larry, Kevin, Patrick, Michael, Scott, Catherine Ann, and Mary Jo. She graduated from Plentywood High School in 1975. Upon graduation, Jennifer attended The College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, MN. She graduated in 1979 with a degree in Occupational Therapy.

On June 21st, 1980, Jennifer and Wayne Anderson were united in marriage at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Plentywood, MT. The two built a life together spending the majority of their years in Williston, ND. They have raised five children during these precious years together. She always said that God sent them five miracles (and seven dogs but, thankfully, no cats).

Aside from raising children, one of Jennifer’s joys was singing. She competed at many musical festivals in high school and toured Europe in college with her concert chorale.

Jennifer was a force to be reckoned with and will be remembered as a strong woman who raised strong and intelligent people. She felt so fortunate that she got to marry the love of her life who made all her
dreams come true.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Sally, her grandparents, her uncle Loren O’Toole, her uncle Harley Will, her uncle Bill Johnson, her uncle Don Carpenter, and her father-in-law Orris Anderson.

Jennifer will be cherished in the hearts of many including: husband, Wayne, and their five children Sarah and Thomas (Williston, ND); Mary Catherine, Jason, and Keely (Williston, ND); Erin (Williston, ND); Mark, Kelly, Sage, Danny, and Elliott (Fort Collins, CO); and Rachel (Williston, ND); brother Paul Carpenter of Plentywood, MT; Godmother and Aunt Joanne O’Toole of Plentywood, MT; Aunt Pat Will of Wolf Point, MT; Aunt Ada Johnson of Sterling, ND; Aunt Jerry Carpenter and Uncle Tom Petranek of Lewistown, MT; Virginia Carpenter of Plentywood, MT; mother-in-law Audrey Anderson of Helena, MT; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jay and Carol Anderson; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
